The Importance of Inclusivity -- Even in Ballet! by B. Woodard

To all Ballet/Dance Studios: No kid should be “disincluded” for being the human they’re intended to be—and that’s the goal. It may start with brown tights and Afro-friendlier styles (whew!) ...but it goes so much farther than what we can see on the surface. We see those making moves but to any dancer/family whose space has not yet made the full “leap”;) to a safe space, can you talk with your studio if you haven’t already—whether it’s you or a friend? Real growth can happen here too and it may surprise you how much more there is to see when it does. Feel something/see something/say something.❤️-Bellen
